Certain magnet links are stuck on "Downloading metadata". Restarting the torrent do not work. Pause and Start. Restarting qbittorrent do not work. It shows many seeds and peers but it is not fetching the torrent file. Both uTorrent and Tixati is able to download the torrent file. Show activity on this post. I'd suggest that you change torrent. From how you describe the problem, to me it seems that none of the peers you can connect to have the whole % file. You can check it via right click Properties Nodes and order them by percentage, like in this picture.

Same issue here with uTorrent () on OSX I noticed that some downloads added with magnet links stuck at "Downloading Metadata" or at "Checking 0%".Stop and restart the download doesn't work, but sometimes downloads starts by shutdown uTorrent and launch it again. I never have this issue with an actual torrent, just a magnet link. I can confirm the proxy issue. Add magnet link: stalls at metadata downloading (usually, sometimes it works as normal). Turn off proxy, wait for metadata to download, turn on proxy and it keeps downloads. This is using docker inside a FreeNAS VM of RancherOS. The proxy used is privateinternetaccess.
